• Thera-Sonics develops its BubbleBuster^TM line of products designed to eliminate air bubbles formed in dialysis, heart-lung and rapid-infusion machines, thus significantly decreasing existing medical complications caused by these air bubbles.
• The BubbleBuster^TM system includes an ultrasound unit and a disposable module. It is non-invasive, automatic and simple to use, and serves as a platform for many applications.
• Thera-Sonics believes that its products have the potential to institute a new gold standard of care within the medical community – superior to the current air bubble detectors – that will generate a requirement for the installation of BubbleBuster^TM atop all high-risk bubbles producing procedures.

• Open Heart Surgery: Almost one million surgeries are conducted annually, of which approximately 30% are in the U.S. It is estimated that over 6,000 CPB machines are in use world-wide. Overall, the global open-heart surgery market is estimated at more than $2 Billions.

• Hemodialysis: Over 1.1 million patients are receiving over 160 million dialysis treatments every year. The market is growing at rate higher than 5% per year. Sixty percent (60%) of the treatments are carried in just 5 countries: U.S. (26%), Japan (20%), Germany (5%), Brazil (5%) and Italy (4%). The 5 top treatment providers have market share of 21% world-wide. The top 5 U.S. providers own approximately 70% of the U.S. market. Overall, the dialysis market is estimated at more than $31 Billion.

• Infusion Pumps and Fluid Heaters: more than 150 million procedures are performed annually with high flow infusion pumps and fluid heaters, during these procedures bubbles are injected to the patient through the infusion lines.
